Our practice operates on a private, cash-based system and doesn’t have contracts with medical aid providers.
Patients are responsible for paying for services rendered at private rates.

Payment Terms

– Payment is due at the start of each consultation.
– We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payments.
– Patients must settle accounts personally.

Medical Aid and Insurance

– We don’t submit claims to medical aid providers; this is the patient’s responsibility.
– Patients should understand their medical aid coverage before treatment.
– Treatment plans are based on patient needs, not medical aid benefits.

Quotes and Invoices

– We provide quotations for procedures.
– Patients must sign acceptance of cost estimates before procedures are booked.
– Detailed invoices are issued for submission to medical aid for possible reimbursement.

Surgical Procedures

– For elective surgeries, 50% of costs must be paid to secure a theatre date.
– Balance payments are due before surgery.
– Patients must obtain authorization for hospitalization and provide the authorization number to the practice.

Responsibilities

– Patients are responsible for understanding their medical aid coverage.
– Patients are fully responsible for payment of all accounts.
– Medical aid coverage is a contract between the patient and their medical scheme.
